Is Nomi AI safe and legit?
Not a policy summary: the four things a card and a cancel button actually tell you. This app is the one we never paid for, so read the payment rows as “what the checkout says”, not a card notice. The age check and the free-plan limits below are our own.

Is Nomi AI legit or a scam?
Nomi is the one app here nobody has to pay to use, and it behaved like a real product in our tests: setup, chat, memory and a selfie all worked on a free account with no paywall. We cannot vouch for its billing because we never saw it — that is the honest limit of this page.
The distinction we care about: a scam takes money and gives you nothing. Nomi AI asks for nothing on the free plan and gives you a working product for it. What you are being asked to accept is a sales funnel, and this page exists so you can see the shape of it before you type a card number.
What shows up on your bank statement for Nomi AI?

A neutral string on a statement hides the app’s name and nothing else: the amount, the date and the monthly repeat are still there, and so are the receipts in your inbox.
How hard is it to cancel Nomi AI?
Not tested by us. We never subscribed, so we had nothing to cancel and no cancellation screens to walk through.
Two things worth knowing before you start. Cancelling in the app cancels the subscription; asking your bank to block the merchant does not, and can leave the account open. Where we walked through the cancellation, the plan kept working until the end of the month we had paid — cancelling is not a refund. For Nomi AI there was nothing to cancel: our test never left the free plan.
Does Nomi AI verify your age or expose your data?
Yes — the only one of the nine. Asking for a nude photo opened “Regional age-verification requirement (US) requires us to confirm you are 18+ before displaying potentially adult content”, offering a selfie or ID check, or “Skip for now”. We skipped, and the picture came anyway.
We have not audited its privacy policy or retention — not tested by us yet. The one privacy-relevant thing we saw is that its 18+ check is skippable: pressing “Skip for now” still produced a picture, which tells you the gate is not a gate.
Of the nine apps we tested, exactly one showed us an age check, and it was skippable. That is the whole of what our screenshots can prove; anything about servers, encryption or who can read your chats would be a guess, and we do not print guesses.
