Is it safe to pay for an AI girlfriend app?
Nine apps. We paid for 8 of them, read the merchant text off 7 of our own card notices, walked the cancellation screens and asked for adult content to see what checked our age. One page per app, plus this index.

Kindroid is the exception: we bought a month of Standard on the web on 18 October 2026 but did not record the card notice, so the line is blank here rather than guessed. Nomi is the other: we tested the free plan only, and the web checkout shows $15.99/mo.
Is it safe to put your card into an AI girlfriend app?
Nothing we saw suggests these apps are card fraud. On each of the eight we paid, the charge went through and we got the product we bought; on the seven whose cancellation we walked through, access stopped when we cancelled in the app’s own settings. What we cannot tell you is what happens to your data: none of us has audited a privacy policy or a retention period here, so on every page that question is answered with “not tested by us yet” instead of a reassurance.
The part that costs people money is the second charge, not the first. Candy’s first month is $9.99 and then $13.99; DreamGF’s billing page says $12.99 now and $25.98 after; Ourdream’s $9.99 headline is the yearly rate billed $119.88. Tokens, Moments and XOT sit on top of all of it.
Which app has the most discreet bank statement?
Secrets is the cleanest of the ones we paid for: the checkout promised “S LABS INC” and the notice said exactly that. SpicyChat (“NDAI.CC”) and GirlfriendGPT (“NDAI.CHAT”) are just as anonymous to a stranger, though the two share a phone number and an operator. Candy, DreamGF and Xotic name themselves on the line; Ourdream’s “DREAMSTUDIOS.CO Limassol CY” is close enough to identify.
A neutral name only hides the name. The amount, the date, the monthly repeat and the receipts in your inbox are all still there. Every merchant string we have seen is on the bank statement page.

Do any of these apps verify your age?
Nomi is the only one that showed us a check, and it appeared once, when we asked for a nude photo, with a “Skip for now” button that let us continue. Kindroid prints an 18+ line and checks nothing. The nine apps we tested are real products, not scams, and on the eight we paid the charge went through and the product worked. The risk is not that the money vanishes; it is what you agree to. Three of the nine put the app’s own name or web address on the bank line, most charge extra for pictures and video, and only one showed us an age check. Read the app’s own cancellation and billing page before you pay, and start with a card you can watch.
Which of these apps shows a discreet name on your bank statement?
Of the ones we paid for, Secrets (“S LABS INC”), SpicyChat (“NDAI.CC”) and GirlfriendGPT (“NDAI.CHAT”) are the least revealing, because nothing in those strings points at an AI companion app unless you already know it. Candy, DreamGF and Xotic put their own name or web address on the line. Ourdream sits in the middle. We have no card notice for Kindroid or Nomi, so we do not rank them.
Do any of these apps check your age?
One of the nine showed us an age check: Nomi, when we asked for a nude photo, with a US regional prompt offering a selfie or ID check — and a “Skip for now” button that let us continue. Kindroid’s creator ends with an “adults 18+ only” line and checks nothing. The other seven showed us nothing; on SpicyChat the account was already signed in when we tested, so a check at sign-up would not have appeared to us.
Is cancelling an AI girlfriend subscription hard?
It ranges from two screens to five. SpicyChat took two and offered nothing to make us stay; Secrets took two with a short countdown on the button; Ourdream took three and offered 200 DreamCoins; Candy took four and warned that tokens go with the plan; DreamGF took five, and one of those screens offered a bonus that would have blocked cancelling for 30 days. Xotic asked for a reason, offered 500 XOT, and showed no confirmation until we reloaded.
