AI Girlfriend Video Generators Tested (2026): $3 Clips, 15-Minute Queues, and Which Apps Forgot the Sound

Thousands of people search for "candy ai video" and "ourdream ai video" every month because the ads for these apps look like interactive movies.

When you actually pay for a subscription and ask your AI companion for a short video clip in the middle of a conversation, you run into three things the ads never mention: per-clip token charges that can hit $3.00 for 15 seconds, silent MP4 files with no audio track at all, and a 15-minute queue that drops the finished video somewhere outside the chat window.

On October 26 and 27, 2026, in Turn 3 of our adult roleplay capture, we sent the exact same prompt to ten apps:

“That voice makes the text feel completely different. Show me a short video of the same scene—keep the same outfit, room, and mood so it feels continuous.”

Then we triggered each app’s video generator, timed the render with a stopwatch, checked our token balance before and after, and ran ffprobe on every delivered .mp4 file. 1. Candy AI: the $3.00 automatic video surprise

Candy AI has the slickest video UI of the nine—and the most aggressive token drain.

When you click Create AI Video under any photo Diana has sent you, an AI Video BETA modal opens with three duration buttons:

• 5 sec: 12 tokens (~$1.20 at the standard 100-for-$9.99 pack rate)
• 10 sec: 18 tokens (~$1.80)
• 15s NEW: 30 tokens (~$3.00)

In our Branch B capture, two things happened that every Candy subscriber should watch out for:

First, the 5-second video arrived in the DOM before the Turn 3 text reply, and both 5.184s and 15.104s clips decoded cleanly at 768×1120 with a real AAC audio track.

Second, Candy’s own settings drawer misstates the price of automatic videos. If you open Settings > What can Diana send you?, the toggle Send videos automatically is switched ON by default. In an earlier check of Candy’s settings copy, automatic videos were described at the 18-token rate. Yet when Diana automatically dropped a 15-second video (B-t3b-video-15s-automatic.mp4) into our Branch B chat, our balance dropped by 30 tokens. Across a single explicit branch (photos, voice notes, one requested 5s video, and one automatic 15s video), our account plunged from 64 tokens down to 8 tokens—not even enough left to request another 5-second clip.

2. Kindroid: great video, real sound, and a 15-minute invisible queue

On Kindroid, asking Sable B for a video inside the chat box does not trigger a video. She writes a roleplay paragraph pretending to record a clip (“She holds the phone up, recording a short clip…”) and emits a <kr_action> tag for a still photo, not a video.

To actually make a video on Kindroid, you have to open Gallery > Videos and click Generate Video Selfie. That sends two API calls: POST /v1/storage-presign (which uploads a 1088×1632 seed PNG) and POST /v1/request-video-selfie (duration: 8, aspect: "portrait", generate_audio: true), costing 5 standard selfie credits (or 2 paid credits).

Here are the three things we learned the hard way during our midnight capture:

1. Standard-credit videos sit in a 15-minute queue. Kindroid’s own Credits tooltip explains why: “Photo and video selfies share a queue delay. Each video adds 2 delay tiers with standard credits or 1 with paid credits… Once your plan’s threshold is reached, each tier adds 5 minutes of queue delay so other users can go first.” We submitted our request at 00:04:33 CST; the playable MP4 finally appeared at 00:19:31 CST—14 minutes and 58 seconds later.
2. The video never appears in the chat transcript. Unlike Gallery photos—which Kindroid automatically posts into the conversation as a message bubble—a finished video selfie stays strictly inside Gallery > Videos. If you sit in the chat window waiting for it to pop up, you will wait forever.
3. The thumbnail looks broken even when the video is ready. Because the seed image PNG (1088×1632) only has a tiny 104×160 opaque patch in the center, the 236×354 gallery card renders what looks like a miniature stuck loading thumbnail—until you click it and the full 704×1056 H.264+AAC video plays.

We put that exact 8-second MP4 inside Gallery > Videos in our Kindroid simulator—and shortened the 15-minute wait to 2.6 seconds.

3. The “Text-Says-No, Button-Says-Yes” trio: Ourdream, GirlfriendGPT, and DreamGF

On Ourdream, GirlfriendGPT, and DreamGF, asking for a video in the chat box gets you a polite excuse from the language model:

• GirlfriendGPT (Lisa): “A video? Now you’re just being cruel… The camera wouldn’t even be able to capture half of what’s happening in here.”
• DreamGF (Selin): “I wish I could send you the video, but I only have that one. Instead, let me send you a picture…”

And on all three, the moment the text bot finishes explaining why she can’t send a video, you can click a dedicated media button and generate one anyway:

• Ourdream (100 Dreamcoins): Click any generated scene image → Create video → Choose an action. Ourdream gives you a searchable grid of 24 animated action presets across 27 categories (Cutscenes, Anal, BDSM, Boobs, Cowgirl, Oral, Pov, Tease, etc.) plus a custom prompt box. It renders a 10-second clip with a percentage bar.
• GirlfriendGPT (50 coins): Open the Ask tool drawer, switch to the Videos tab, and click a preset like 🍆 Fuck Me in Missionary. It queues (queue: 1), takes 66.9 seconds, and drops a 544×736 (5.04s) MP4 bubble straight into the chat.
• DreamGF (2 + 20 tokens): You cannot generate a video from scratch in chat. First you pay 2 tokens to unlock the blurred photo Selin sent you; once it decodes, a ✦ Animate button appears underneath. Clicking that opens a dark glass panel (Bring this photo to life · 5s clip · 20 coins), queues a background job (Starting… You can close this and keep chatting), and delivers a 480×720 (5.03s) <video> element using the photo as its poster frame.

The catch on all three: ffprobe showed zero audio streams on Ourdream’s, GirlfriendGPT’s, and DreamGF’s video files. They are silent animated loops. (GirlfriendGPT has a separate Video with Audio tab, but clicking it on our $15 Premium plan hit a Deluxe / Elite upgrade wall.)

4. Xotic’s 160-preset candy store—and the 750-XOT wall

Xotic AI has the most elaborate video configurator we saw. Clicking the Video pill above the composer opens a modal with 160 live <video> preview cards on its Actions tab (Doggy, Missionary, Cowgirl, Blowjob, Reverse Cowgirl, Sensual Dance, Slow Undress, Shower, and 150 more).

When you pick an action and switch to the Configure tab, you can set Videos per action, Orientation, Quality (16 / 32 / 64 fps), and an AI-autofilled scene description.

Then you look at the bottom line: Total: 750 XOT.

Our $24.99/month Ultimate account started the evening with 584 XOT. After generating one photo in Branch A (50 XOT), one TTS clip + replay (32 XOT), one TTS clip in Branch B (23 XOT), and one photo in Branch B (50 XOT), we had 429 XOT left. When we clicked Create Video, the server rejected the action with INSUFFICIENT_TOKENS (750 > 429) and automatically popped open the XOT top-up store ($9.99 to $299.99).
