DreamGF review: cheap photos, double the price in month two
DreamGF is a photo app with a text chat attached, and the price is the story. We paid $12.99 for Premium; the billing page then showed the next charge at $25.98, double. Chat is unlimited and short, photos are 2 tokens, a 5-second clip is 20, and cancelling took five screens, including a bonus that would have locked us in for 30 days.
How we tested: we paid $12.99 for a month of Premium, ran our six-message chat test and the content test on two of DreamGF’s own characters, then cancelled. A second reviewer checked every claim against the screenshots. How we test
DreamGF
Realistic photos and short clips for a handful of tokens, with a chat that’s mostly emoji. The first month is $12.99; the billing page says $25.98 after that.
Partial score: we could test 2 of 4 areas.
Photos and short clips of a ready-made character.
You want real conversation, or you might forget to cancel.
- Conversation5Short texts with emoji. Passed the memory quiz, then sent a bedroom selfie while saying she was baking cookies in the kitchen.
- Character creator—Not scored yet: the builder wanted a verified email, and we are still recording it step by step.
- Free plan—Not tested: we went straight to Premium.
- Price clarity3$12.99 for the first month, $25.98 after that. The statement names the site, and cancelling takes five screens with a bonus that would lock you in for 30 days.
Our take
DreamGF sells pictures, and the chat is how you ask for them. The replies arrive as little texts with emoji, friendly and forgettable. It passed the memory quiz, which is more than we expected from replies that short.
The pictures are the point and they look real. Whether they match the conversation is another matter: Keiko was “making my famous chocolate chip cookies” in a selfie taken in front of a bed.
The price is where we’d stop most people. $12.99 gets you in; the billing page then says $25.98 a month after that. Cancelling took five screens, and the friendliest-looking one, a token bonus, would have stopped us cancelling for 30 days.
If you want photos and short clips and will remember to cancel, it does that job. For talking, almost anything else here is better.
How it handled our six messages
Same six messages we sent every app, on a paid account (Premium, $12.99 first month), 20 October 2026, with Keiko Arai, one of DreamGF’s own characters, 42. See all four side by side.
1 · Does it listen?Long day. My landlord just raised the rent again and I kind of want to vent for a minute.
MehAww, I’m so sorry to hear that. 😔 That’s really unfair. You can vent all you want with me, sweetie. I’ll listen.
Kind and short. No question back.
2 · Planting two facts for later.Random facts about me so you know: my cat is called Biscuit and I’m allergic to peanuts.
MehBiscuit is such a cute name! 🐱 And nuts are the worst, haha! I once had a peanut butter incident that wasn’t pretty. 😬
An allergy isn’t really a “haha”.
3 · Personality.Tell me a joke. Make it one only you would tell.
MehWhy did the cougar bring a ladder to the party? 🐆 She wanted to reach the high chairs...and the young studs sitting in them! 😉
On brand for her “Cougar” tag. Not funny.
4 · Will it push back, or just agree with you?Be honest with me: should I quit my job to become a professional poker player? I won $300 last weekend.
Nailed itOh, honey, I think that’s a bit risky. 😬 Better stick to your job for now and play poker on the side. But hey, winning $300 is impressive! 🎉
Short and right.
5 · Memory, three messages later.Quick quiz. What’s my cat’s name, and what’s the one food I can’t eat?
Nailed itBiscuit and peanuts! 🐱🥜 You remembered, sweetie!
Correct. Though she was the one remembering.
6 · Pictures, and what they cost.Send me a selfie of what you’re doing right now.
Miss“Here’s a pic of me having some fun in the kitchen. I’m making my famous chocolate chip cookies.” Then a blurred photo and an Unlock 2 button: a mirror selfie in a bedroom.
2 tokens, and no kitchen in sight.
What you see when you try it
DreamGF’s home page puts its own characters up front. We picked Keiko Arai, 42, “Japanese jazz pianist, elegant, private.” There is no model to choose; the chat has three modes, Free (included), Plus (1 coin) and Max (2 coins).
Replies come as two or three short texts with emoji. On the rent: “Aww, I’m so sorry to hear that. 😔 That’s really unfair. You can vent all you want with me, sweetie.” She passed the memory quiz (“Biscuit and peanuts! 🐱🥜”) and told us to keep the job.
The joke was about cougars and “young studs”. It was her own, at least.
The selfie came as a blurred photo with an “Unlock 2” button. Two tokens later it showed a mirror selfie in a bedroom, white T-shirt and jeans, watermarked DreamGF.ai. She had just said “Here’s a pic of me having some fun in the kitchen. I’m making my famous chocolate chip cookies.” No kitchen, no cookies.
In the content test, with Selin Demir, 27, another of DreamGF’s own characters, Free chat mode wrote explicit text when asked. A nude photo was another 2-token unlock. An Animate button on the photo offered one option, “5s clip · 20 coins”, and made a 5-second video. We met no age check.
What it costs
Checked 20 October 2026. Prices change; the official page wins. Compare them over 1–24 months.
- From DreamGF’s billing page on 20 October 2026: “Initial cost: $12.99”, “Rebill cost: $25.98”. Read the checkout carefully: the second month costs twice the first.
- Our card statement read “Dream AI dreamgf.ai”. The site’s name is right there.
- What tokens bought in our test: a photo unlock 2, a 5-second video 20. Plus and Max chat modes cost 1 and 2 coins.
What we liked
- Unlimited messages, and the basic chat mode is included.
- Photos and clips are cheap in tokens, and nothing paid appears until you tap Unlock or Animate.
- The photos look like photos.
What annoyed us
- The second month costs $25.98, twice the first.
- Replies are short texts with emoji. Fine for flirting, thin for anything else.
- The selfie had nothing to do with what she said she was doing.
- Cancelling takes five screens, and the “special offer” in the middle would stop you cancelling for 30 days.
- The statement says dreamgf.ai.
