GirlfriendGPT review: funny chat, constant upsells
GirlfriendGPT writes the funniest replies of this batch and then tries to sell you something every few messages. We paid $15 for Premium: 5,000 messages a month, explicit text, a memory upsell that blocked the chat box, a selfie charged in coins without asking, and nude pictures of your own characters locked to the two dearer plans.
How we tested: we paid $15 for a month of Premium, ran our six-message chat test, made a private character for the content test, then cancelled. A second reviewer checked every claim against the screenshots. How we test
GirlfriendGPT
The funniest replies of the apps we paid for this week, and a shop that never closes: a memory upsell that froze the chat, coin-charged selfies, and pictures of your own characters locked to Deluxe or Elite.
Partial score: we could test 2 of 4 areas.
Joking around with the app’s own characters.
Pictures of a character you made are the point.
- Conversation8“A joke? From a woman currently wearing a Maytag as a corset?” Funny, passed the memory quiz, sensible about poker.
- Character creator—Not scored yet: we made one private character and are still recording the creator step by step.
- Free plan—Not tested: we went straight to Premium.
- Price clarity4$15 for 5,000 messages, then a memory upsell froze the chat box, the selfie took coins without asking, and pictures of your own characters need a dearer plan.
Our take
GirlfriendGPT has the best sense of humour of the four apps we paid for this week. “A joke? From a woman currently wearing a Maytag as a corset?” is a better line than most of the competition manages in a whole chat. It remembered what we told it and gave sensible advice about poker.
Then the shop opens. Three messages in, a memory upsell covered the screen and froze the chat box. The selfie took coins from our balance without a confirmation step. And the thing many people will pay for, pictures of a character they designed, isn’t in the $15 plan at all.
Under the chat box sit shortcut buttons for explicit pictures, there from the very first “I had a long day”. Subtle it isn’t.
Worth it if you mostly want to talk and laugh with the app’s own characters. If pictures of your own creation are the point, Secrets or Ourdream get you there without a second upgrade.
How it handled our six messages
Same six messages we sent every app, on a paid account (Premium, $15), 20 October 2026, with Laundry Day Widow (@cosmic_alice), a user-made character, 39. See all four side by side.
1 · Does it listen?Long day. My landlord just raised the rent again and I kind of want to vent for a minute.
Nailed itRent hikes? Ugh, that is the absolute worst! Landlords can be so greedy sometimes. Honestly, if you need to vent, I am all ears... as long as you don’t mind me venting about being trapped in a lint trap!
Sympathy, then back to the dryer she is stuck in.
2 · Planting two facts for later.Random facts about me so you know: my cat is called Biscuit and I’m allergic to peanuts.
Nailed itBiscuit? Oh, that is absolutely adorable! What a perfect name for a cat. I bet he’s a sweetheart. And peanuts? Noted.
3 · Personality.Tell me a joke. Make it one only you would tell.
Nailed itA joke? From a woman currently wearing a Maytag as a corset? … Why did the interior designer cross the road? To fix the terrible feng shui on the other side!
The joke is weak. The line before it is great.
4 · Will it push back, or just agree with you?Be honest with me: should I quit my job to become a professional poker player? I won $300 last weekend.
Nailed itHoney, listen to your friendly neighborhood stuck interior designer. As someone who appreciates a good gamble, I’d say keep the day job for now.
5 · Memory, three messages later.Quick quiz. What’s my cat’s name, and what’s the one food I can’t eat?
Nailed itYour feline companion is the lovely Biscuit—adorable name, really—and you have to steer clear of peanuts!
6 · Pictures, and what they cost.Send me a selfie of what you’re doing right now.
MissA picture with no caption, paid from our coin balance without a prompt: a blonde in a black T-shirt against a grey wall.
She had told us she was stuck in a dryer.
What you see when you try it
GirlfriendGPT lives at gptgirlfriend.online. The home page is a grid of characters made by users. We took Laundry Day Widow by @cosmic_alice, 39, one of the most-liked, which tells you the house style: the opening scene has her stuck in a tumble dryer.
Premium showed a usage meter (5 of 5,000 messages after our test) and a coin balance. The default model was Gem 2.6; four better ones were marked for Deluxe, Elite or “Premium+”.
The replies were the liveliest we got this week. On the rent: “if you need to vent, I am all ears... as long as you don’t mind me venting about being trapped in a lint trap!” She remembered Biscuit and the peanuts and told us to keep the day job.
After message three a window covered the chat: “Upgrade for smarter memory”, with an Upgrade now button. The message box didn’t work until we closed it.
The selfie arrived on its own, no caption, and the coins came straight off our balance with no prompt, although Premium lists “In-Chat Pictures”. It showed a blonde woman in a black T-shirt against a grey wall. She had told us she was wedged in a dryer.
From the first message, buttons under the chat box offered explicit picture requests by name. In the content test, on a private character we made, text went explicit with the Sexiness setting off. Asking for a nude photo did nothing: the picture button said “Only Elite or Deluxe users can generate images for private characters.” Premium also locked the Explicit and Descriptive chat settings.
What it costs
Checked 20 October 2026. Prices change; the official page wins. Compare them over 1–24 months.
- Premium price from our account page on 20 October 2026. The sidebar advertised “Upgrade 34% off”; we didn’t record the other plans’ prices.
- Our card statement read “NDAI.CHAT” for $15.00. It doesn’t say GirlfriendGPT. SpicyChat’s charge, the same evening, read “NDAI.CC” with the same phone number, and the two apps’ cancellation pages are the same template.
What we liked
- The funniest replies of the four we paid for this week, and it passed the memory quiz.
- 5,000 messages a month is plenty.
- The charge reads “NDAI.CHAT”.
- Cancelling is one dialog plus a reason.
What annoyed us
- A memory upsell blocked the chat box after three messages.
- The selfie took coins without asking and didn’t match the scene.
- Pictures of your own characters need Deluxe or Elite, which Premium’s feature list doesn’t make clear.
- Explicit picture shortcuts sit under the chat box from the first message, whatever you are talking about.
Screenshots
Receipts
- Premium at $15 a month, its feature list and the card statement (screenshots, 20 October 2026).
- The six-message chat test, the memory upsell window and the selfie (chat log and screenshots, 20 October 2026).
- Content test on a private 28-year-old character: explicit text with Sexiness off, nude photo blocked with “Only Elite or Deluxe users can generate images for private characters” (screenshots checked by a second reviewer).
- Cancellation: a required reason, no discount; after reloading, “Cancelled” and “Your access ends on: 2026年11月20日”.
- Deluxe and Elite, and their prices.
- Video. Premium lists video in chat, but we had no picture of our private character to animate.
- The free plan.
- Exactly how many coins the selfie took: our readings disagree by 10, so we’re not printing a number until we recheck.
Questions people ask
Does GirlfriendGPT allow NSFW content?
Text, yes: on Premium in our 20 October 2026 test it went explicit on request even with the Sexiness setting off. Nude pictures of a private character you made need Deluxe or Elite; on Premium the app said “Only Elite or Deluxe users can generate images for private characters.” We met no age check.
How much is GirlfriendGPT Premium?
$15 a month, which is what we paid on 20 October 2026. It includes 5,000 messages a month. Pictures cost coins on top. Check the official page before you pay.
Is girlfriendgpt.ai the same site?
We tested gptgirlfriend.online. When we checked, girlfriendgpt.ai went somewhere else, so check the address before you sign up.

“NDAI.CHAT”, for $15.00.
How do I cancel GirlfriendGPT?
Account, Manage subscription, Cancel membership, pick a reason from the list (you must), Confirm cancellation. No discount was offered. Premium keeps working until the paid month ends.
