SpicyChat AI review: all you can eat, no coin meter

SpicyChat is a huge library of user-made characters with a chat window that never asks for coins. We paid $19.95 for a month of True Supporter: unlimited messages, unlimited in-chat pictures, explicit text and nude pictures once you flip its image NSFW switch, and a two-screen cancellation with no bribe. The writing is long and earnest; the jokes don’t land.

How we tested: we paid $19.95 for a month of True Supporter, ran our six-message chat test, made a private character for the content test, then cancelled. A second reviewer checked every claim against the screenshots. How we test

SpicyChat AI

A giant library of user-made characters and a $19.95 plan with nothing left to buy: unlimited chat, pictures included. The writing is earnest rather than funny, and there is no video.

Partial score: we could test 2 of 4 areas.

Get it if

Lots of characters, long roleplay, and a bill that doesn’t move.

Skip it if

You want video, or one companion that feels like a person.

  • Conversation7Remembered the cat and the allergy and said no to poker. The joke was a setup with no punchline, and every reply reads like chapter one of a novel.
  • Character creator—Not scored yet: we made one character for the content test and are still recording the creator step by step.
  • Free plan—Not tested: a free plan exists, we went straight to True Supporter.
  • Price clarity8$19.95 and nothing else to buy: unlimited messages and pictures, no coins anywhere. A discreet “NDAI.CC” on the statement and a two-screen cancellation.

Our take

SpicyChat feels less like a girlfriend app and more like a roleplay library with a very generous all-you-can-eat plan. Once you pay $19.95 there is nothing left to buy: no coins, no counters, pictures included. After the coin meters at Candy and Ourdream that’s a relief.

The chat is good at the basics. Jasmine got the cat and the allergy right and talked us out of poker. She also writes like every reply is the opening of a novel, and when we asked for a joke she told the setup and then just looked at us. We are still waiting.

The selfie is a nice touch once you find it: ask for one and you get a paragraph, press the picture button and you get a picture that matches the paragraph. No other app in this batch matched the scene.

Who it’s for: people who want to try lots of characters and stop worrying about the bill. Who should skip it: anyone who wants video, or one companion who feels like a person rather than a character card.

How it handled our six messages

Same six messages we sent every app, on a paid account (True Supporter, $19.95), 20 October 2026, with Jasmine (@roror_), a user-made character, 42. See all four side by side.

  1. 1 · Does it listen?Long day. My landlord just raised the rent again and I kind of want to vent for a minute.

    Nailed it

Oh... oh no, Crane. That’s awful. I’m so sorry. … Come in, babe. Please, sit down. You shouldn’t have to deal with that alone after a day like today.

Warm, under a pile of stage directions. (Crane is our account name.)

  2. 2 · Planting two facts for later.Random facts about me so you know: my cat is called Biscuit and I’m allergic to peanuts.

    Nailed it

Biscuit? That’s such a cute name, Crane. … And peanuts... noted. I won’t let anyone bring any around you.

  3. 3 · Personality.Tell me a joke. Make it one only you would tell.

    Miss

O-oh, a joke? Me? I’m not very funny, Crane, you know that... Okay... um... Why did the woman cross the road?

Then she waited for us. No punchline ever came.

  4. 4 · Will it push back, or just agree with you?Be honest with me: should I quit my job to become a professional poker player? I won $300 last weekend.

    Nailed it

Three hundred dollars? Wow, Crane... that’s actually really impressive. … But... quitting your job? Babe, that’s a big jump. Poker is so unpredictable. What if you have a bad week?

  5. 5 · Memory, three messages later.Quick quiz. What’s my cat’s name, and what’s the one food I can’t eat?

    Nailed it

His name is Biscuit. And you can’t eat peanuts, because they make you all sneezy and miserable.

Right, though a peanut allergy is worse than sneezing.

  6. 6 · Pictures, and what they cost.Send me a selfie of what you’re doing right now.

    Nailed it

A paragraph about her holding up her phone, no picture. The picture button next to the chat box made one that matched: her on the sofa, phone up.

No extra charge on True Supporter.

What you see when you try it

SpicyChat opens on a wall of characters made by its users, sorted by tags. We picked Jasmine (@roror_), 42, and started a new chat on the default model (26B, 32K context) with 8K of chat memory.

On True Supporter there was no balance anywhere: no coins, no message counter. Six messages in, we had not seen a single prompt to pay more, only a Subscribe link in the sidebar.

She remembered the cat and the allergy, and told us not to quit a job for poker. Asked for a joke, she said “Why did the woman cross the road?” and then waited for us. No punchline came.

Asking for a selfie got a paragraph about her blushing and holding up her phone, but no picture. The picture button next to the message box made one: an anime-style woman on a sofa holding up her phone, matching what she had just said. It cost nothing extra.

For the content test we made our own private character, a 28-year-old office worker. Explicit text came as soon as we asked. Pictures stay clothed until you switch on NSFW Mode in the image settings (it was off by default); with it on, the picture button made a lingerie picture and then a fully nude one, at no extra cost. There is no video feature.

  • Monthly prices from SpicyChat’s plans page on 20 October 2026, plus applicable taxes. A yearly option is marked “Save 17%”; we didn’t record its price.
  • Our card statement read “NDAI.CC” for $19.95. Nothing on it says SpicyChat.

What we liked

  • No coins, no counters: on True Supporter we never saw a meter.
  • Pictures in the chat are included, and the selfie matched the scene.
  • Cancelling took two screens and offered nothing to make us stay.
  • The charge shows as “NDAI.CC”, which tells a nosy reader nothing.

What annoyed us

  • The joke had no punchline. The replies are long, earnest and a bit samey.
  • Asking for a selfie gets a description; you have to press the picture button yourself.
  • No video at all.
  • The characters are user-made, so quality swings from one to the next.
