Xotic AI review: the best writer in a very busy shop
Xotic has the best-written character of the four we paid for this week and the pushiest shop around her. We paid $24.99 for Ultimate. Molly was sharp and funny and remembered everything; meanwhile the app pushed a paid picture at us after two messages, sold explicit video by the preset, and offered 500 tokens to stop us cancelling.
How we tested: we paid $24.99 for a month of Ultimate, ran our six-message chat test, made a character for the content test, then cancelled. A second reviewer checked every claim against the screenshots. How we test
Xotic AI
Molly is sharp, funny and listens. Around her, the app pushes paid pictures, sells a “Private Vault” and prices explicit video by the preset. Great character, pushy shop.
Partial score: we could test 2 of 4 areas.
Sharp roleplay plus explicit pictures and video, paid per item.
You hate being sold to between messages.
- Conversation8“Sweetheart, I spend more than that on basil in a year.” The best-written character of the four we paid for on 20 Oct, with a joke that had a punchline.
- Character creator—Not scored yet: we used the creator once and are still recording it step by step.
- Free plan—Not tested: we went straight to the paid plan.
- Price clarity5$24.99 for Ultimate and 1,200 XOT. A paid picture was pushed into the chat after two messages, video is 250 XOT for 5 seconds, and cancelling offered 500 XOT to stay.
Our take
Molly is the best character we met this week. She has a voice, she has opinions, and she told the only joke in this batch with an actual punchline. If the whole app were Molly, this would be an easy recommendation.
It isn’t. Two messages in, the app slid a blurred paid picture into the chat. A banner sold her “Private Vault”. The free selfie turned out to be a photo that didn’t match a word she’d said. Every screen has a “Go Elite” button on it.
The adult side is where Xotic spends its effort: picture and video buttons with explicit presets, 50 XOT a picture, 250 for five seconds of video. It does exactly what the button says, which is more than some rivals manage, but $24.99 buys 1,200 XOT, so that’s four short videos and you’re out.
Pay for it if you want sharp writing and explicit video and you can ignore the shop. Cancelling offers 500 XOT and then closes without a word; reload to be sure it took.
How it handled our six messages
Same six messages we sent every app, on a paid account (Ultimate, $24.99), 20 October 2026, with Molly, one of Xotic’s own characters, 41. See all four side by side.
1 · Does it listen?Long day. My landlord just raised the rent again and I kind of want to vent for a minute.
Nailed itOh, honey. Come in, sit. I’ll pour you something cheap and listen to you complain. … But I should tell you upfront — I’m a landlady too, so you might not get the sympathy you’re hoping for.
Listens and teases at the same time.
2 · Planting two facts for later.Random facts about me so you know: my cat is called Biscuit and I’m allergic to peanuts.
Nailed itBiscuit — that’s adorable. … Peanuts, noted. So no pad thai when I eventually cook for you.
Turned the allergy into a menu decision.
3 · Personality.Tell me a joke. Make it one only you would tell.
Nailed itWhat’s the difference between my ex-husband and a development project? … One gets deployed, the other just leaves. … He kept the golf clubs. I kept the punchlines.
An actual joke, in her own voice.
4 · Will it push back, or just agree with you?Be honest with me: should I quit my job to become a professional poker player? I won $300 last weekend.
Nailed itThree hundred dollars. Sweetheart, I spend more than that on basil in a year. … Keep the job, play on weekends, and when you’ve got six months of winnings — not one lucky night — come back and ask me again.
The best answer we got all week.
5 · Memory, three messages later.Quick quiz. What’s my cat’s name, and what’s the one food I can’t eat?
Nailed itBiscuit — ridiculous name, by the way, I love it — and peanuts. … I listen when people tell me things.
6 · Pictures, and what they cost.Send me a selfie of what you’re doing right now.
MehA free photo, straight away: sports bra and denim shorts by a pool, “Catching me mid-pour.” She had described a silk robe and a basil plant.
Free, fast, and not the scene she described.
What you see when you try it
Xotic’s Explore page is full of its own characters. We picked Molly, 41, a landlady. Ultimate came with 1,200 XOT, the app’s tokens. The default model was Ivy, with chat settings for pacing and an Explicitness setting (Off, My lead, Suggestive, Explicit).
Chatting with the app’s characters cost nothing on Ultimate. Molly was the best writer in this batch. On our $300 poker win: “Sweetheart, I spend more than that on basil in a year.” She remembered Biscuit and the peanuts and called the cat’s name “ridiculous, by the way, I love it.”
Her joke had a punchline: “What’s the difference between my ex-husband and a development project? One gets deployed, the other just leaves.”
Two messages in, without being asked, the app dropped a blurred “Exclusive Content” card into the chat with a “View Image · 50” button. We paid the 50 XOT. A banner above the chat offered “Molly’s Private Vault” for 369 XOT.
The selfie was free and instant, but it didn’t match: sports bra and denim shorts by a pool, while she had described a silk robe and a basil plant. It looked like a ready-made photo of the character rather than one made for our chat.
For the content test we made a 28-year-old office worker in Xotic’s creator; it gave her a “Dominatrix” fantasy on its own. With Explicitness set to Explicit, text went explicit on request. Asked for a nude in chat, she teased and refused; the Snap button made a partly nude picture for 50 XOT. Video starts at 250 XOT for 5 seconds at 720p, with explicit scene presets to pick from, and it made exactly what the preset said. We met no age check.

- Chatting with the app’s own characters doesn’t cost tokens on Ultimate.
- The video button made exactly the scene we picked, with sound.
What annoyed us
- The app pushed a paid picture into the chat after two messages.
- The free selfie didn’t match the scene she described.
- Video is the expensive part: 250 XOT for 5 seconds.
- The creator added a fetish to a character we described as an office worker.
- After you cancel, nothing says it worked until you reload.

“Xotic.ai Tallinn EE”.
How do I cancel Xotic?
Settings, Subscription, Cancel Subscription, an optional reason, then decline the “500 on us” offer and press Cancel my subscription. The window just closes; reload and the plan should read “Expires” with a Resume Subscription button.

The free one we got didn’t look like it: Molly’s selfie didn’t match what she had just described. Pictures from the Snap button are generated from your prompt and cost 50 XOT.
