Best Candy AI alternatives: we paid for Candy, here is what happened
Candy has a nice character creator and a shop window full of explicit video series. On a free account our chat stopped at the fifth message, behind a “private video” we had not asked for. That is the specific thing the apps below are being compared against.

What did we find when we tested Candy AI?
The creator is good and you can use every option before signing up: realistic or anime, ethnicity, hair, body, then name, age, personality, relationship, occupation, up to three kinks and a voice. Premium was not needed for the guest walkthrough.
The chat is where it changes. We vented about rent and got three quick texts back, which was honestly decent. We floated quitting a job for poker after one $300 weekend and got “$300 in one weekend?? okay maybe you’re onto something”. Right after that, Candy posted a locked private video we had not asked for and the free chat was over — five messages into the account. On the paid plan the same pattern continued in smaller ways: a 15-second video we never requested took 18 tokens, then an unrequested voice note took one more.
What does Candy cost, and what does it print on your statement?
Candy is $9.99 for the first month and $13.99 after that; the $3.99 headline needs a 12-month plan. We paid $9.99 on 20 October 2026 and the card notice read “EverAI candy.ai MT” — it does not say Candy, but it does say candy.ai, so anyone who reads the line and searches it lands on the app.
Cancelling took four screens, including a warning that you lose your remaining tokens, chats and characters when the plan ends. Our account showed 64 tokens, 5 chats and 1 character at that point. Pictures and video are sold as tokens on top of the plan.

Graded “good” when the reply did the job, “meh” when it half did, “miss” when it got it wrong, and “No reply” where the app never got that far — Candy’s free chat locked after five messages, so rounds five and six have no answer. Free-round winners are the ones we wrote down at the time; the paid rounds have no written winner line, so every app we graded “good” shares the round.

What do the nine tested apps cost and bill as?
One month of the plan we checked, the free plan as we found it, and the merchant string from our own card notice where we have one. We have no notice for Nomi or Kindroid, so those rows say so.

What should you check before you switch?
- Do not judge on the creator. Candy lets guests use every option, and Ourdream lets a guest through five of its six stages before a human check — the difference is what happens in the chat after.
- Check whether pictures and video are included. On Candy they are tokens on top of the plan.
- Read the cancellation warning. Candy deletes remaining tokens, chats and characters when the plan ends.
- Compare the statement line if privacy matters: “EverAI candy.ai MT” names the site.
What do people ask about Candy AI alternatives?
Why did my Candy AI chat stop working?
In our test the free chat locked after the account’s fifth message. Candy posted a card reading “Private video — Kayla Mercer recorded something just for you. Unlock it to watch the video and keep chatting.” We had not asked for a video.
What shows on a bank statement for Candy AI?
Our own notice, for $9.99 on 20 October 2026, read “EverAI candy.ai MT”. The plans page warns the charge will show as “EverAI”; it does not warn you that the site’s own address is in the string too.
Which Candy AI alternative has no coins?
SpicyChat, at $19.95 a month: unlimited messages and in-chat pictures, and we never saw a meter on the paid plan. Nomi has no meter either and is free, with two selfies a day.
How much is Candy after the first month?
$13.99 a month. The $9.99 is a first-month price, the monthly plan is $13.99, and the advertised $3.99 requires paying 12 months up front.
Did Candy send anything you did not pay for?
Yes. Right after our third message, on the Premium plan, it posted a 15-second video we had not requested and took 18 tokens. Later an unrequested voice note took 1 more. Characters sending paid media on their own is on by default.
